I am an emerging artist currently living in Bellingham, Washington and I have exhibited in national as well as international juried exhibitions. My work is in the Northwest School tradition with an emphasis on representational abstraction and Asian art. Early in my career, I did studies at the home owned by celebrated northwest mystic painter Morris Graves. In 2006 I won the Bellingham Arts Commission city wide competition for a weathervane design titled "Beet Spirit". It’s a 9'x4' beet that sits atop Bellingham's Depot Market Square clock tower. In 2009 I was accepted to a National Juried Exhibition at Axis Gallery juried by Janet Bishop the curator for SFMOMA.
Most of my creativity goes into my paintings but I also enjoy doing some textile work like knitting, willow sculpting and bead work when I need to get my creative juices flowing.
